The Future Of Digital Media

5 years ago there used to be a line between web designers and graphic designers now that line has totally disappeared. Web is taking over and people need to stay up to date, now most graphic designers and learning how to design for web aswel as designing apps for iphone and android.

The next line to be wiped will be the line between graphic design and game design, the game industry had became much bigger than the film industry and soon everyone will be designing games. The next gen consoles are giving everyone a bigger platform to start making their own games. 3D games are becoming an everyday thing now the entertainment factor is blowing up.

Development in this deportment is becoming better and better and soon everyone will be in their own virtual world. Games are becoming more and more realistic every year its getting to a point were graphics mimic real life.

This was the final piece we did for our contextual unit, I composed this piece from scratch using photoshop and illustrator, i used illustrator to get a sharp finish on the text. We were doing Young British Artist so we knew we had to add the shock/controversy factor to it, so i found a picture of a dead bird and used photoshop to separate the bird from the background, Then i added a grunge background, tire marks and blood stain to make it look like the bird had been ran over.

This is also one of my favorite pieces i have done i had so much fun while making this and the only thing i would change is the colour of the text to make it stand out allot more.

This is a project i did for a personal smoothie company. This was a unit at my college, this piece here isn't actually my final piece i just think this was well put together and it had allot more effort put into it.

I chose this colour scheme because they were bright and colourful which you need to help catch the customers eye. The colours are very 'juicy' and make you think about smoothies when you see it. I also like the way the line runs through the middle of the text as if the juice is running through.

I really like the the concept and the way it was all put together and i think this is one of my best projects so far, although my booklet presentation wasn't the best i still like it and I will work on my presentation skills next unit

This is a fairly simple bit of work i did using a noise overlay with a lowered opacity to give it that kind of grainy effect. I also made a duplicate layer of these apples and went over it with the art history brush, This gave it a blurred oily effect.

I really like the way this turned out you can really see the contrast between the apples and the bowl.

I done this in digital skills using photoshop, i used brushes that i had downloaded before hand to make the smoke effect on the top of the text. I used a filter to distort the text and duplicated the text and used gaussian and motion blur to give it that extra smoky effect.

I would love to change the colour of this with hue and saturation to more of a deep blue, i think this would help it stand out a lot  more. Overall i am very happy with this and i have learnt a few useful techniques while doing this.

This is just a little photoshop experiment i did in my spare time with a layer mask and some cloud brushes, i really like the way this turned out it really captures the concept of the piece.
