This is a fairly simple bit of work i did using a noise overlay with a lowered opacity to give it that kind of grainy effect. I also made a duplicate layer of these apples and went over it with the art history brush, This gave it a blurred oily effect.

I really like the way this turned out you can really see the contrast between the apples and the bowl.

I done this in digital skills using photoshop, i used brushes that i had downloaded before hand to make the smoke effect on the top of the text. I used a filter to distort the text and duplicated the text and used gaussian and motion blur to give it that extra smoky effect.

I would love to change the colour of this with hue and saturation to more of a deep blue, i think this would help it stand out a lot  more. Overall i am very happy with this and i have learnt a few useful techniques while doing this.

This is just a little photoshop experiment i did in my spare time with a layer mask and some cloud brushes, i really like the way this turned out it really captures the concept of the piece.
